So, young Renzo travelled the world to find his dream with stops in Liverpool, San Francisco, Miami, London, and Cancun. Once in Cancun during a 1999 vacation Renzo, took a ride to Playa del Carmen and he found home.

Renzo played around the beach, made friends, and generally "…enjoyed the life" as he says. After one year of fun, Renzo met his future wife and Renzo opened up Renzo´s Pizza on what was then, an undeveloped part of 5^th Avenue.

"Only the Mariposa Hotel and I were here……..I served pizza to beach goers for a few hours and went to the beach myself." Renzo explains.

Now, Renzo´s Pizza is right in the heart of the most trendy part of town in what some refer to as the Trendy Italian Section because of the over 5,000 Italians that live in Playa and generally live and play in that area.

Renzo´s is now open daily from about 12 noon to about 11pm and serves all kinds of Pizza with ..........."just the right amount of love".

At 32 and with 4 years of successful business under his belt Renzo is now the veteran entrepreneur in a fast changing market.

Time and experience has taught Renzo many things here in Playa. "Please come to Playa and make-a the life. Make a business here too…….but a never forget-a why you come here, the beach, the caribe, the life……..this is not a place where you have to work for your car, or your big house, and a nice cloths. It is a place of freedom where those who are successful in business love what they do-a and do it cause they love …..not to make a billion dollars, that is not here………we have-a love here, the beach, the love – have that and your business go up. The point is the beach, relax, be a good person, and be a Caribe Rasta Man" Renzo says with a genuine enchanting smile only reserved for those who know and live the good Playa Life.

Renzo's Pizza is on 5th Avenue between 24th and 26th and is open 7 days a week from 12 noon - 11pm
