This one of a kind event will take place in Playa del Carmen, México. Top international DJ’s will present a trio of shows starting August 23rd, 2008. The rapidly growing city of Playa del Carmen has a hip vibe, following the international hotspots similar to Ibiza and Mykonos. Destination Europe comes to Playa del Carmen to share their own avant-garde philosophy of musical styling and life. This will be the Riviera Maya´s first event of its kind organizing top international DJ’s rolled into one event over the next 6 weeks.

Playa del Carmen Tequila Festival cancelled. Unbeknownst to the tequila loving public, the Riviera Maya Tourist Board cancelled the 2008 tequila festival. We are still trying to find out details and will keep you posted......

Get your drinking hat on and head downtown to the now famous annual Tequila Festival in Playa del Carmen. There are tequila distributors from all over the country that will be peddling their wares. Try the creamy cinnamon tequila or maybe the pomegranate tequila might be more your style. Like the straight stuff? There will be plenty to choose from, many of which are not necessarily available here.

 
Fusion Night Beach Festival in Tulum!

We ususally post this kind of information in our Upcoming Events Section , but not only does this look like a whole lot 'o' fun, but it is happening tomorrow. Not sure it can compete witht the Tequila Festival in Playa del Carmen, but if you are already in Tulum it might be worth checking out.

Wednesday, June 4th, Bar Ranita celebrated 7 years of being a local hot spot in Playa del Carmen with a party to end all parties!

The whole community came out in full force on Wednesday night to toast owners, Thed and Pia, for their continuous ability to stay on top of the ever changing market in Playa del Carmen. With live music, free margaritas and coronitas, the party was hopping until after 4:00 AM! We were on hand with our flashbulbs blazing to document this fun event! Check out the gallery below.....

 The famous Bar Ranita to celebrate their 7th year in Playa del Carmen!

Bar Ranita, part of the Hotel La Rana Cansada, has been serving happy travelrs and locals for the past 7 years, and that is certainly something worth celebrating! This Wednesday, June 4th, the party will kick off at 8:00 PM. There will be live music with Brad and the Culture Orphans, drinks, and excitement! Come on down and join the fun!!

From the innovators of the Hole in the Wall Deli and Bar comes a new hot spot for lounging and libation.

As we are inundated with young party goers filling the streets of Playa del Carmen, The Dirty Martini Lounge is the perfect respite for the mature martini connoisseur. Owners, Karen Lange and Greco Witteveen, wanted to create a comfortable cozy atmosphere that encourages people to sit down, listen to some cool retro lounge music while sipping on one of their many specialty martins, and enjoy some good conversation among friends.

The Zenzi at the Corto Maltes is now open, and has full bar service and a delicious appetizer menu. The kitchen will be fully operational in the next couple of weeks, and from the looks, and tastes, of things they are off to a great start! With wood, stone, and light accents like no other place in Playa del Carmen Zenzi is sure to become a crowd favorite. Come and Eat, Drink, and Chill under the stars right on the Caribbean Sea and you will surely return to Zenzi.

Zenzi is located right on the beach and 10th Street in downtown Playa del Carmen.
