A great place to grab, you guessed it a drink for 2 dollars, or a 12 peso beer. Packed on the weekends with young locals, they recently added a restaurant next door, called Organicos. Owner, Juan, was the first person we met in Playa del Carmen when we first moved here, and he is a great guy!

New in 2006 Bali Club has a 1,200 person capacity featuring a high-tech sound and lighting system. They mix up the dance floor with a high-tech light show and some crazy fire, water and balloon effects to add to the party atmosphere. Cover charge can vary depending on the mood of the bouncers. The same owners of Bali actually closed in December 2008 and re-branded the club as Dubai.

A great live music venue, The Jam Session, has created a hot spot for local and visiting musicians.
Playa del Carmen is a veritable hub for parties and nightlife after the sun has gone down the breezy tropical weather brings everyone out onto the streets. With both the European and Mexican influences, many people eat late lunches, have an afternoon siesta, and then head out for dinner and drinks closer to 9:00 or 10:00 PM. Although bars and restaurants are always busy during the afternoon, and during happy hour, the young party crowd hits the clubs and bars closer to midnight, or even 1:00 AM. Partying goes on into the wee hours with many clubs open until 4:00 AM or later.
