The Cata Maya is a spectacular way to wile away the afternoon. Whether you choose to go on a group snorkel and sailing trip, with an open bar and lobster lunch, or rent it out as a private charter for a special event or wedding. Either way the Cata Maya Catamaran is a must do while visiting Playa del Carmen and the Riviera Maya. This beautiful 65 foot catamaran was brought here from Greece only a couple of years ago. It boasts 3 bathrooms, fresh water showers, and an incredibly attentive crew.
Cata Maya is currently offering one tour daily starting at 10:00 AM and finishing around 2 or 2:30 PM. The cost is $89 USD per person for adults and $47 USD for children (ages 6-12). The Playa Maya News discounted rate is $80.10 per adult and $42.50 per child. You will be picked up near your hotel and transported to Puerto Aventuras by 10:00 AM.
Cata Maya Catamaran Tour CataMaya can hold up to 100 guests, and does private charters, weddings, and other specialty occasions as well. There are 3 bathrooms on board, fresh water showers, sun decks, and shaded lounging areas to indulge every guest's needs and desires. An open bar, great sound system, snorkeling, and lobster lunch is a great way to spend an afternoon. After boarding the Catamaran you will get a safety briefing and introduction to the CataMaya crew and facilities. Your first stop is an opportunity to snorkel in the crystal clear Caribbean waters. Haven't snorkeled before? No worries, they provide a snorkeling orientation, and snorkel guides will be in the water at all times to assist you if necessary. After about 45 minutes of snorkeling time the open bar begins with all you can drink beers, sodas, water, and international drinks. While relaxing and enjoying a creamy pina colada the crew prepares a grilled lobster lunch served buffet style with salad, pasta, rice, and veggies that will surely leave you well satiated. After everyone is finished with lunch the Catamaran sails leisurely back out to sea where you can engage in a bit of fishing if you so desire. The day ends back at the Marina in Puerto Aventuras where air-conditioned transport awaits to take you back to your hotel.
