The Third Annual Mayakoba Golf Classic PGA Tour Brings the Riviera Maya That Much Closer to the PGA Tour Calendar.

PLAYA DEL CARMEN, México -- Mark Wilson came south of the border to work. Although his job took him to a Mexican resort and he stayed at a hotel near the beach, never once during the Mayakoba Golf Classic did he hear any mariachis play. Not until the eight guys in sombreros and matching cream-colored suits were playing in his honor.

The third annual PGA Tour in Playa del Carmen kicks off on the 23rd of Febraury!

With only days to go before the third edition of the Mayakoba Golf Classic, more of golf's champions are making plans to compete February 25-March 1 at El Camaleón Golf Club at Mayakoba. Recent official commitments include Charles Howell III (U.S.), Nick O'Hern (Aus.), and Paul Goydos (U.S.). Defending champion Brian Gay who has started his year with four consecutive top-20 finishes is also scheduled to compete and will attempt to become the first back-to-back champion in tournament history. PLAYA DEL CARMEN, México - As the PGA TOUR prepares to return to Mexico for another edition of the Mayakoba Golf Classic, enrollment for the Open Qualifying Tournament is now underway.

Four spots in the field of 132 players will be up for grabs when the Open Qualifying Tournament is conducted Monday, February 18, 2008 at the Iberostar Playa Paraiso Golf Club in Playa del Carmen.

One of a Kind Martial Arts Event in Playa del Carmen was a True Success.

The event will be something that will be talked about in Playa del Carmen, and the Riviera Maya, until next year when it returns. An exhibition was performed with some of the most influential masters in Martial Arts in Mexico with 16 states participating in the event as well an international seminar that was presented by the president of the Mexican Aikido Federation. The event was held in honor of one of the most memorable participants in the history of Martial Arts in Mexico: Shihan Miguel Moreno Segura, and was really incredible to watch.
