Opened in April 2004, Discovery Jungle Park is the first of its kind to come to the Riviera Maya. It sprawls over 4 hectares of old growth jungle only 40 short minutes from downtown Playa del Carmen. There are over 22 games, 2 cenotes, multiple ATV’s and an amazing amount of fun to be had! I was fortunate to be invited by Bruno and his staff to join a small group to the park to film a promotional video. After a 40 minute ATV ride through the jungle I arrived muddy and raring to go. Although I do consider myself an adventurous person when I arrived and saw the seemingly high platforms scattered through out the jungle I wanted to back track and run back home. But Bruno and his staff persevered with me and my scared self and got me to the training platform. I completed the cable crawl and zip line and I was ready to roll! I felt safe, secure, and was so impressed with the patience of everyone there.
My take away for the day……an amazingly outrageous, fun, and unique jungle experience! I

I completed the park tour with what is called the Eiffel Tower, a 16 meter high platform connected to a 100 meter zip line, when I first saw this monstrosity I thought to myself, NO WAY! But my thought process was that I had made it this far I have to go out with a bang! It was the most fun I have ever had! I was really Jane of the jungle! For the perfect closer to this exciting adventure we descended into a pristine underground cenote to rinse away the heat and humidity of the jungle. Once cooled and refreshed we hopped back on our ATV’s and returned to town to conclude our excursion.
