The Wind Festival of the Riviera Maya

The Third Annual Wind Festival is coming to the Riviera Maya, February 23rd through February 27th, and competitions will be held in Puerto Morelos, Playa del Carmen, and Tulum.

Kenji Jones, Zavier Triste, Stefano Rista are just a few of the pro and resident competitors that will be participating in this extreme kiteboarding competition!So check below for futher information, and as you know, the Playa Maya News Team will be in attendance to get some killer photos and some kickin' video!

Schedule of Events:

Wed. 23th.
Free ride in Puerto Morelos.

Thu 24th
Free ride in Playa del Carmen or downwind (15 kms) if the wind allows it.
6:00 pm. Inscriptions, wind ceremony and dinner at the Blue Parrot
Hotel in Playa del Carmen.

Fri 25th
10:00 am Kiteboarding Competition in Tulum (free style) double elimination.

Sat 26th
10:00 am Kiteboarding Competition in Tulum (free style) double elimination.

Sun 27th
10:00 am Finals at Mamitas Beach Club in Playa del Carmen.
4:00 pm Awards Ceremony, Fashion Show or Bikini contest,
DJ and sunset party with drums and fires at the beach.

Inscription 35 usd. (includes dinner at the Blue Parrot Inn and some snack and beverages Fri, Sat and Sun, promotionals and t-shirt from the event)
