How to get involved in the PGA Tour at El Camaleon Golf Club at Mayakoba February 19th through February 25th, 2007 Hey folks! As many of you know the much anticipated PGA tour kicks off this coming Monday at the El Camaleon Golf Course at Mayakoba. There are a number of ways you can go as a spectator, volunteer, or even as a player. So if you are an avid golfer, and would like to experience the first ever internationally sanctioned PGA tour (outside of the United States and Canada) check out the information below on how you can get involved.
Become a player: Bancomer is looking to sponsor 5 golfers to experience this amazing event, and play on one of the top golf courses in the world. You must have a handicap of no more then 21 and you are eligible to play, for free, on the 20th and 21st of February. If you are interested in finding out more information please contact Juan Carlos Cruz at 984-111-4218 or e-mail him at: This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it
Become a volunteer: Volunteers are the backbone of every PGA TOUR event and it is their hard work that makes it all possible - and the Mayakoba Golf Classic will be no exception. While most of the United States rides out the dreary days of winter in late February, the PGA TOUR and Mayakoba will be soaking up the sun at the inaugural Mayakoba Golf Classic at Riviera Maya-Cancún. February's average high temperature in Playa del Carmen is 81 degrees, while the average low is 68. You are invited to join the volunteer team and help make history as part of the volunteer corps for the PGA Tour’s first Official Event outside of the United States and Canada. Volunteers are needed for all tasks; most notably marshals, shuttle drivers, walking scorers, media services and much more. Being a volunteer is the only way to get "inside the ropes" and have the best view of this historic event. In addition to being a part of golf history, volunteers will receive a number of other benefits, including: · Uniforms provided at no charge · Daily continental breakfast and lunch · Volunteer credentials will grant access to tournament grounds on days not scheduled to work · Volunteers will be invited to an Appreciation Party following the tournament For more information about volunteering at the inaugural Mayakoba Golf Classic at Riviera Maya-Cancún or to sign up, please email Tournament Manager Joe Mazzeo at: This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it .
