Loud Noise, Machines Flying, Dirt Doing Dirty Deeds, and Daredevil Riders turning huge back flips while flipping head over heels for Corona Beer Girls named Maria and Dolores.

This is Motocross and it’s now in Playa Del Carmen. It's raw, sexy, aggressive, dangerous, and it's all real!

Raul Mendez, the Executive Director of Motocross Marlins Racing Club of Playa del Carmen presides over one of the planet's most electrifying sports where riders are willing to take just about any risk and break almost any bone in their body to create magic on a motorcycle.

“Our sport has riders like Carey Hart from the U.S. who have made names for themselves in the sport. Here in Mexico, our sport is gaining popularity. It’s getting big just like our Playa del Carmen community” Mendez says.

“We now organize regional races with competitors from Campeche, Tabasco, Qunitana. Roo, and the Yucatan” Mendez reports.

Playa del Carmen has one of the most important race series in the state and the southeast of Mexico. The track is one of the nicest and most challenging in Mexico. Many competitors from around Mexico come to race enjoy the gorgeous beaches. “It’s a perfect place to be” Mendez expresses.

Racing is divided into groups from youth ages 4-6 and then more advanced groups to the professional levels.

“Due to the nature of extreme sport, we always have the Paramedics on hand. Fortunately, we’ve never had a major injury. Mostly bumps bruises, and broken bones.” Mendez screams over the noise at the track.

In the future, Mendez plans on hosting an international event including competitors from USA, Europe, and Latin America. “Because of our location, it’s just a matter of time” Mendez says.

Races are held from 11am to 5pm the last Sunday of every month at the track on the Careterra Federal across the street from Nissan dealer in Playa del Carmen.
