Tae Kwan Do in Playa del Carmen

 

 

 Local Tae Kwan Do School, Kwan Moo Do Playa, are truly making a name for themselves. 

Once again Kwan Moo Do Playa shows incredible talent in a local competition. Eighteen students went to the Tournament Copa Riviera Maya on July 16th 2006 in Playa del Carmen. Where they beat out their grueling competition and came home with 21 gold medals, 12 silver and 3 bronze!

 

The students and instructors of Kwan Moo Do Playa have proven once again that they keep improving their levels of training and competition, and have become a force to be reckoned with. It is not an easy feat to stay on top and to continue to medal in numerous competitions, but students at Kwan Moo Do Playa have proven that hard work and dedication does bring reward and respect in the end.

The students are sticklers to improve their skill levels claims Professor Miguel A. Gallardo, and he continues by saying that although competition is a major part of training, that each student is truly dedicated to their sport.  Even his younger students who range from ages 6 to 15 years old go for the gold so to speak, and are confident in their abilities.This past year the trainings and tournaments in Japan, and Cuba made Tae Kwon Do Playa a stronger and more cohesive group which in turn has made them ready to take on trainings and tournaments in both Costa Rica and Argentina come this November. They have made quite a name for themselves in the Tae Kwan Do community through out the world and are proud, not only to be representing Playa del Carmen, but Mexico as well. Congratulations Kwan Moo Do Playa, you make the community proud!
