Voted by the Readers of Playa Maya News, The Best Pizza in Playa del Carmen is ............at LA PUMMAROLA Yes, La Pummarola takes the most coveted prize as voted by the readers of PMN. And, they took the title by a landslide! Domination! In fact, 47.83% voted for La Pummarola – unreal! (Check out the results ) First, we want to acknowledge all the other best pizza places in playa: Pizza Pazza, Pizza Banana, Renzo’s Pizza, Pizza House, Papa John’s, Dominos, and Pizza Fiesta….. all are great pizza’s but……………the Best of the Best is La Pummarola! So, anyway, last night the award ceremony took place at La Pummarola, where a certificate was presented to DONATO, the owner of La Pummarola, by the staff of the Playa Maya News.
Many Pizzas were sampled throughout the evening. What a treat! Thank you DONATO! La Pummarola "Napolitan" style pizza, served on an individual board, has a thin crunchy crust and the undeniable flavor of the brick oven in which it was baked. There are many varieties to choose from, and it is tough to decide which one is the best! Thanks to all the voters who took part in the contest and for the ones who do not know or have not tasted a Pizza at La Pummarola - HURRY UP! What are you waiting for………….
La Pummarola (Tomato in Napolitan dialect) is located between the Shangri-La, and the Reef Coco Beach hotels on a dirt track called Flamingo Road.
