Both locals and tourists are raving about the atmosphere, the quality, the taste, and the positive trendy taste.......................... Alfredo Ramirez, a successful businessman originally from Mexico City, came to Playa on vacation and, like most of us, just could not resist the temptation. Alfredo actually works for the firm that built the wonderful and world class trendy plaza – called Paseo del Carmen. He is in charge of the complete administration of the project – The General Manager if you will. While the project is a resounding success, working the project, it was clear the no one could see the vision of the little corner spot directly under Narquila and right next to Viva Margarita.
After a few bumps and staff building, he built a first rate team and now has an outstanding consistent business. “My business grew with a bit of advertising – and word of mouth. For 2 months, I did not even have a sign!” he says. According to Alfredo, his business experience in Playa has been outstanding. “Just follow the rules and regulations and it will be alright” says a confident and well educated Alfredo. “We love Playa and making the best tacos in the trendiest part of town. It is our paradise!”. Takanijo is located in the Paseo del Carmen inbetween Juarez and Playacar right on 10th. It is open from 12 noon – 12 midnight 7 days.

“No one wanted that spot” says Alfredo. “So I took it and created the only taco place in the plaza – boom Takanijo was born”.
