Description
NO, we are not talking about people here, we are talking about the latest sports bar to open in Playa del Carmen. Pinche Gringos is the latest endeavor of Jimmy Brown former owner of the No Name Bar. Large and open, it is a great place to catch a game or grab a bite and a beer. With a huge projection television and multiple flat screens throughout there are plenty of tables with a view.
All of that aside nothing would be complete without a couple of guys fighting over a table and getting escorted out by the local police, and there was the token drunk guy in a Speedo flashing everyone that was too funny not to take a picture of. All and all it was a colorful evening that will not soon be forgotten (especially Speedo guy), and we will surely return soon for more sports, beer, and artery clogging fun. Pinche Gringos is open 7 days a week from 8:00 AM until 2:00 AM. They are located on the corner of 26th Street and 1st Avenue in Playa del Carmen.

Last night the place was packed with Super Bowl revelers,
and even with the place overflowing, service was great, food arrived hot to
your table, and your beer glass was never empty. We went with a large group to
partake in this very American pastime, and really had a great time. Beers were
only 15 pesos, the Buffalo wings (60.00 pesos) were smoking, although the dipping
sauce could have used a little help, the nachos were perfectly cheesy (60.00
pesos), and the French fries were the best I have had in Playa del Carmen.
Unfortunately
they were having technical difficulties with some of their speakers that were
for the outer tables. Due to this fact all of the girls at our table were a bit
disappointed when The Artist (formerly know as Prince) took the stage to work
his magic, and we could not hear a thing!
