exhibition and beach party in Tulum, Mexico.

Since my fiancée Honza, moved from Holland to Playa del Carmen
a few months ago, we were able to enjoy the 5th Annual Riviera Maya
Jazz Festival together. The program looked promising, and with our history of the
famous Dutch North Sea Jazz Festival, which we both had visited for many years,
we were in for a treat.

Paula
Liebe, originally from Holland, has lived in Playa del Carmen since 2000. She
became a student of yoga upon her arrival in the area, and completed her
teacher training in 2003. Influenced by the famous, Bryan Kest, Vinassya Flow
(Power Yoga) Master, she has taught in local area studios such as: Area, Center
8, and The Gym as well as private classes.
Eco Expo in Playa del Carmen Had a Tremendous Turnout

The Eco Expo was held this past weekend at the Coffee Café
in Playa del Carmen, and it was a smashing success!
Thirty three local businesses participated in the first
"Green" Expo in Playa del Carmen, and the community came out in full force to
support them. From alternative energy sources, to local organic food products
the spectrum of local businesses that offer ecologically sound practices was
impressive.
Fourth Annual Christmas Gift Drive for Children in Chunpom

of Paa Mul, along with other community members ,are kicking of the 4th
annual gift and school supply drive for the children of the Chunpom school, Escuela
Jacinto Pat , which is located about 30 minutes south of Tulum.
The school
houses 120 students, and as far as languages go, the children are being taught
Mayan, their native tongue, with Spanish as a second language. But they are
being introduced to some English. Last year through donations, Cindy was able
to purchase the school a copier as there aren't enough school books to go
around.
Center 8 Studio, in Playa del Carmen, to host an evening of music, candles and wine with renowned singer Julie Delgado.
