Session , and O' Barzhino, are all having parties and celebrations that kick

Interplaya to play the Hurricanes tonight in Playa del Carmen.
On more then one occasion we have been asked for the
Interplaya soccer schedule, but as many things are in Playa del Carmen, it is easier
said then done. But thank you to the perseverance of our friend John Bekas we
at least now have the schedule for tonight’s game. So come on out and make some
noise and support our local team!
Finally a café with comfortable chairs! I know this may not
seem important to you, but I am from the coffee culture of Seattle, and cool,
comfortable coffee cafes are literally on every street corner.
There is nothing more delicious then wiling away
an afternoon sipping java, reading, writing, working on your notebook, and
soaking up the environs of café chatter. Enter the Coffee Café a new café located
on the northern end of 5th Avenue in Playa del Carmen.

From Gulf to Shining Sea.
In the morning, a fog surrounded
the sleepy city that seemed to be in no hurry to get moving.
Our maps indicated that today we would be
driving toward the coastal city of Vera
Cruz by way of Puebla. The city of Pachua fell from sight as we maneuvered out
of town on a four-lane highway with no speed bumps.
Within a few hours, we began to see raw
concrete structures stacked on the hillsides and some tent cities with homes
pieced together from wood, tin and plastic on the other side of the road.
The flow of traffic increased tenfold, and
Lou took his place in one of the lanes as he slipped into taxi-driver mode.
Radio marathon event for Angel Notion, this Saturday October 20th, in Playa del Carmen. Come on out and join in or tune into Riviera 98.1 FM!
Come and see some of the children
that the Angel Notion Cardiology Program has helped since its inception in
1999. You too can be part of helping a child to receive life saving open heart
surgery. Each surgery costs $15,000.00 USD and you can help sponsor a child; no
donation is too small, and all donations are tax deductible in the United
States and Mexico.
When Andy and Jen MacDonald first came on vacation to Playa
del Carmen years ago, they never imagined that they would end up running a pet shelter here.
Originally from England, Andy and Jen moved
here about a year and a half ago after falling in love with the area (we
haven’t heard that one before!).They
ended up owning a small restaurant, but as things also happen in Playa del
Carmen, they were enrolled in their own school of hard knocks and the
restaurant closed its doors in the fall of 2006.
An update from One Stop Real Esate in Playa del Carmen.
In this letter I want to cover a little
about the reality of hurricanes, who is coming to invest in Mexico, and
why.
As
you know Hurricane Dean passed to the South of Playa through the Majahual area
causing extensive damage to the cruise ship facility and many structures on the
beach front. One Stop took a truck load of food and clothing down to Bacalar
and Buena Vista a week after the hurricane, and Bacalar looked like Playa after
Wilma in 2005.

Seattle; a sweet reprieve from the heat in Playa del Carmen.
Web Guy and I decided to take a bit of a break and head to the United State, Seattle in particular, to get a break from the heat in Playa del Carmen and visit family and friends. As our trips always go we ended up extending it by a week. We will be
returning to Playa del Carmen next Monday, October 8th. So, we thought we would let everyone know why there hasn’t been much activity on Playa Maya News! We will be back in our office first thing on the morning of the 9th and it will be business as usual.
In the mean time I have received an update from the Consular’s Office in Cozumel so I have included the information below…..
