The stream of customers at Cocos Cozumel restaurant has been steady since 6:00am. 

When I walk in the air feels electric.  I am welcomed with loud hellos, hugs and kisses.  The scene resembles a soldier’s homecoming and it is to be repeated many more times during this morning.

My husband and I arrived in Tulum last November after making arrangements with our friend to live in his family casita behind his restaurant and hotel called Vista al Mar. In the interim, the hotel had been sold to a man from our home state of Colorado.
