What do you do when you have a dream that is so big and bold that to live it you need to move to another country? The dream for my husband and I was to live in a tropical place with palm trees and beautiful beaches. Mexico beckoned to us invitingly. “Come play here,” is what we kept hearing. Then our questions came: Will it work out? Can we really do it? Is it possible for us?

Paris Delane played 3 shows this past weekend in Playa del Carmen, and they were fantastic!

 

Chicago based musician, Paris Delane, came down to play in Playa del Carmen for a handful of concerts designed to benefit local charity, Angel Notion. With his laid back style, amiable attitude, and infectious grooves he played to a happy crowd this past Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at the Hotel El Faro in Playa del Carmen. Missed the shows? Don’t worry he has added one more before he heads back to Chicago on Wednesday……

Fred Funk Wins México's First PGA Tour Event at the Mayakoba Golf Classic.

PLAYA DEL CARMEN, México (AP) - Fred Funk won one for the old guys Sunday. Playing with an achy back befitting his senior status, the 50-year-old Funk won the Mayakoba Golf Classic on the second hole of a playoff with Jose Coceres to became only the second man to win a PGA Tour event after winning on the Champions Tour.

"I think I validated how good the players are on the Champions Tour," Funk said. "Even though you are 50 or 51 through 55... age doesn't really mean anything. I just want to see how long I can last."
