New services, additions and modifications on Playa Maya News.

In July 2006 we rolled out a new design of Playa Maya News after a much needed face lift was completed. Over the years we had gotten various requests for new services and information that people wanted to see on PMN. Seeing as we do Playa Maya News for our readers and community we thought we should listen! Since then we have added more features, ideas, and services to try and accommodate everyone’s requests. Playa Maya News is a constant work in progress as we add and modify new content, news, area information, forums and more. We thought we would give you an update on what has been added since July, and what is still to come……

Real Estate: Not only do we have articles and news on the local real estate market here in Playa del Carmen and the Riviera Maya, but we have now added a new free listing service for local Realtors and agents. It is an easy and pain free process to add and modify new listings and information, all contacts go directly to the listings agent, no duplicate listings are allowed, and listings are exposed to thousands of visitors and potential clients each month. Forums: Forums are designed to create an online community to share and exchange information, opinions, advice, and experience. We have added a forum section to PMN so check it out, and who knows maybe you will find what you are looking for or offer some much needed information to a fellow forum member!

Classified Advertising: Although we did have a classified ads section in the original PMN our new classified section is even more user friendly, and has more categories to choose from. It is another free service we offer to our readers and the feedback that we have received is that it actually works to sell, buy or trade goods and services, so check it out!

Hotels: We now offer hotel bookings through PMN, and plan to expand on this section in the coming months to include smaller boutiques style hotels, as well as vacation villas, and condominiums.

Tours: PMN is now offering tours as well. Not only do we have some amazing tours to choose from, but we also offer some of the lowest pricing in the area. Don’t see what you are looking for? No worries, we can accommodate nearly every request, whether it is to book a different tour you have seen somewhere else, or if you would like to design and customize your own tour to suit your specific needs, we can certainly help you!

Reviews: There is now a review module linked to both the hotel listings, and our restaurant section. You can write your own review on either a hotel or restaurant experience to help other people make informed decisions on what they may or may not want out of a specific hotel or restaurant. Keep in mind we do post all reviews but no profanity please!

Area Information: As far as content is concerned this is definitely our largest new addition! We currently have local area information on the history of Playa del Carmen, and the Riviera Maya, cenotes, beaches and weather, ATM locations and banking information, shopping guides, local holidays, transportation, health and fitness, flight information, emergency and other useful telephone numbers, and coming soon:

Immigration information, wedding options, updates and expansion on our real estate services, restaurant guide, maps, nightlife and bar listings, did we miss something? Please let us know and we will be happy to add a new section or idea!
