Grady's Back and He's On a Download Fire By JP the Music Man That's Right, Grady, our local bluesfolkrocker, is back on the streets playing music and roaming the jungle for inspiriations, crazed adventures, and the sounds of the playa.
Grady, a well traveled and experienced musician came to Playa del Carmen 5 years ago for a two week gig and never left. With influences best described as Louisana Cajun Country Blues, Grady’s played worldwide with the best musicians in his genre and ended up in Playa as a matter of happenstance and destiny.
Talking about doing a CD for over 1 ½ years, Grady and his buds Ronald Dull, Jozef Scales, and Brad Ryan finally decided to take action and go for it. And now, they offer you a few of the Grady music nuggets right here, right now as download on the Playa Maya News......read more and click to get music on your hard drive. Recorded in 6 weeks with the help of local musicians and bands eg... Chivo Azul, Playa's local Mexican blues band and the guitar of Emiliano Juarez, Grady put down 8 original compositions out of 9 on the album. “It’s great. A victory for Grady, Music, and Playa del Carmen” says a soulful Edie Borjesson who doubles as Gradys PR Manager and a local entrepreneur who’s married to Brian Borjesson, the head of the local Fire Department – the Bomberos. “Get your Grady CD. More Beer!” she says with a smile. To get a copy of Grady’s CD contact Brad Ryan at Mojo Zone Recording Studios. They are open Monday – Saturday from 12 noon to 5pm.
