Mamitas and Playa Tukan roll with the groovy jazz sounds of a Party gone Incandescent It was something unpredictable and in the end it was right cause Playa del Carmen had the time of its life last night at Jazz Fest 2004. Yes, Day 3 of Jazz Fest 2004 rumbled into Playa del Carmen last night and onto Mamitas and Playa Tukan Beach to the biggest crowds of the event. It was another turning point in the history of Playa del Carmen as it was clear that our little quaint beach town has graduated into a place where art, music, and the good life are flourishing. That’s right, day 3 came on with a mixture of cool, class, and sophistication while doing so in the hippest of clothing, beach beauties, and the who’s who of it all... OPENING NIGHT JAZZ FEST VIDEO Hard to describe really except to say that it was one of the most beautiful nights in the history of Playa del Carmen – the stars were out, the people were grooving, wine was flowing, and the music was glow’in. Led by Fernando Toussaint and Paulina Segura of the Riviera Maya Tourist Board, Jazz Fest 2004 delivered a nite of fun, frolic, jazz, spirits, beach, and soul. We’ll let the pictures tell the story………….Enjoy.
