Angel Notion will be hosting two bands visiting from the United States this weekend. Paris Delane and Paul deLay will be playing three differnet shows this weekend right here in Playa del Carmen. So if you like live music, dancing in the streets, and supporting the community; come out and join the fun!
Where and When: Friday and Saturday February 23rd and 24th, from 6:00 PM until 1:00 AM, in front of the Cafe Alquimia on 1st Avenue between 10th and 12th Streets in Playa del Carmen. Sunday February 25th from 12:00 until 6:00 PM on the beach in front of the El Faro light house located on 10th Street and the beach in Playa del Carmen.
Born and raised in Chicago Paris Delane found music as an alternative to getting involved in violence in the streets of Southside Chicago. Inspired by his mother, who was an accomplished gospel singer; he picked up his first guitar at age 8 and wrote his first song by age 9. With an impressive 7 octave vocal range, and an ability to play the drums, bass, piano, flute and saxophone, Paris Delane is an impressive musician. With a funky R&B sound that will get your feet tapping and your body groovin’ you will surely enjoy seeing this amazing talent perform live.
Paul deLay- Since rejoining the music scene in January 1995 after a three-year "writing sabbatical," legendary harmonica player Paul deLay has taken the Pacific Northwest by storm, selling out major blues venues and headlining festivals throughout the region. Reunited with his band -- a unit West Coast Blues Review calls "easily the best of all the West Coast backup units" -- deLay continues to prove why he ranks as one of the greatest blues harmonica players, songwriters and vocalists alive, and he is playing in Playa del Carmen this weekend! So come out and enjoy some great musical talent on the streets, and beaches, of Playa del Carmen this weekend, you won’t be disappointed! Comments (0)
