Pay my bills....? 2 Months ago Karma: 0
How can I pay my utilities in absentia without a property manager? We have a condo at Zubul Reef that we are not going to rent. I have an account with CFE, and I will have a water bill as well.

Hi Jim,

Do you have a bank account here in Mexico? Several of the banks offer online payments for CFE, Sky and CableMas, as well as other services. I am unsure if you can pay the water (CAPA) bill through these though. To see the offerings for Bancomer (for example), you can go through this demo site this demo site to get an idea of one banks offerings.

Let me know if this helps.
Steve

I was told by BanNorte that I could not open an account with a tourist visa. ScotiaBank would accept my business, but they are not listed on CFE's site to pay bills. I don't have immediate intentions of getting resident status.

You may want to check out Bancomers Proffered Customer Unit. To open an account you need:

  • Copy of your passport

  • Copy of any utility bill (power, telephone, cable, etc.) or of a tax payment.

They offer online bill paying options for CFE and etc., though I don't think that CAPA (water) can be paid via this method.
