Happy Valenitine's Day! How to celebrate the day of love in Playa del Carmen. February 14: El Dia de San Valentin- On February 14 it is El Día de San Valentín which is also called El Día del Amor y la Amistad- the day of love and friendship. Balloons, flowers, chocolates and greeting cards are featured by many stores and vendors similar to other parts of the world.
Look for a Spanish term of endearment, on a balloon or card, for you par amor; "Te Amo" -I love you- "Para mi amor"-for my love, or "Felicidades" –congratulations, are among the popular ones. If in Mexico couples of all ages go out for dinner on this special date. As you can see, El Día del Amor y la Amistad is celebrated in Mexico similar to the rest of the world.
