Check out these two books, at Alma Libre Bookstore, and find out valuable information about living in Mexico.
We had questions like: What is a fideicomiso and why do we need one? How do we get one? What’s an FM3? What kind of household goods can we bring into Mexico? Will we be taxed on them? What happens if we get sick? In our search for the answers to these questions and hundreds more, we came across several good books that were extremely helpful. Here’s a little bit about two of our favourites.
By Ken Luboff This is an excellent overview about everything you need to know regarding living in Mexico, part time or full time, working or retired. The “Adapter Kit Mexico” covers buying real estate, getting your immigration papers, and starting a business. Written by someone who has done it, author Ken Luboff also discusses Mexico's history, economic issues, cuisine, and culture.
By Robert H. Page MD & Curtis R. Page MD The number one question we get from people writing us at the bookstore is about health care. Now there is an excellent reference for people living or traveling throughout Mexico. “Mexico: Health and Safety Travel Guide” is a comprehensive directory of the best hospitals and English-speaking doctors in the country including Playa del Carmen and Cancun. Researched and written by US physicians, this invaluable guide covers; descriptions of the medical facilities and doctors in each region, detailed hospital listings and reviews, medical and pharmaceutical translations, symptoms and conditions, overviews and much more. This is a must for anyone spending time in Mexico.
These books and more on living in Mexico are available from Alma Libre Bookstore in Puerto Morelos. Located on the town square Alma Libre Bookstore is open Monday-Saturday 10-3 & 6-9 and Sunday 4-9. For more information visit our website at: http://www.almalibrebooks.com/
