The community will gather in the zocalo on the evening of Monday September 15th, 2008 to celebrate Mexican Independence Day, but there are lots of things to do this weekend leading up to the main event! Play golf, watch a sexy fashion show, enjoy a world class DJ event,  try a tasting of Mezcal, party like a rockstar at the Blue Parrot, sip on a specialty martini...all of this and more when you go out this weekend in Playa del Carmen! Saturday September 13th, 2008:

• Fashion show on 5th Avenue and 20th Street at 8:00 PM.

Sunday September 14th, 2008:

• Fashion show at Mamita's Beach Club at 7:00 PM and after party at Santanera
• Golf For Everyone: Family golf event at El Camaleon Golf Course
• Ministry of Sound Destination Europe Event

Monday September 15th, 2008:

• Closing show for the Sexy, Crazy, and Glam Fashion Show at 12:00 PM at Mamita's Beach Club
• El Grito in the zocalo at 11:00 PM
• Dirty Martini Lounge $15 peso beers and tons of fun!
• Official opening of Los Danzantes Restaurant and Bar! Come on down and try some specialty Mezcals! Los Danzantes is located on 12th Street between 1st and the beach right next to Om Playa del Carmen.
• Blue Parrot Blow Out Independence Day Party! 2 visiting DJ's, 9:00 PM until Sunrise. Dancing, food, drinks, live shows, fire shows, and specialty entertainment you won't want to miss! No cover charge and 1 drink minimum. The Blue Parrot is located on 12th Street and the beach in the heart of downtown Playa del Carmen.
