The 55-piece concert band with members from 18 states will perform at 12 noon in the Plaza. The one-hour concert will feature a variety of music ranging from marches, to Broadway favorites and classical overtures. The Community Band of America is directed by Kenneth Bloomquist. He is the Michigan State University Director of Bands Emeritus. Professor Bloomquist was Director of the School of Music at MSU from 1978 to 1988. He has appeared as guest conductor, in many countries around the world.
