Private charters and custom built tours in Playa del Carmen and the Riviera Maya

We offer private sailing charters through both Fat Cat and Cata Maya Catamarans, and there are a variety of packages and options to choose from. Whether you want a tranquil sunset cruise for a small group of 15 or 20, or if you want a raucous "booze cruise" for 70 there are options that will fit almost everyone.

We offer a variety of tours for groups small to large. If you don't see a tour to fit your needs, just ask us and we will be happy to help.

In addition we can arrange for private tours with ATV Explorer, Sacred Blue, Discovery Jungle Park, and Horseback riding depending on you and your groups individual needs. We recently arranged for a pre-wedding celebration for 70 people on the Cata Maya that included an open bar, burger lunch, snorkeling, and fishing and the group had a blast! So if you have any questions and are interested in any of these ideas and packages please feel free to contact us ,and we would be more then happy to help!

Custom Tours of Playa del Carmen and the Riviera MayaRecently we had a family come down from the East Coast, and they wanted a private tour of Tulum and Akumal for the 7 adults and 4 children that were visiting. We hired them a private van, and guide (Sara "The Guide" Moen) and took them exploring on a day that they created. First stop was the Tulum ruins with an expert guide hired on site to give a group history lesson, and once school was out of the way the next stop was Gran Cenote to cool off from the ruin trek, and to snorkel, and explore. Even the 22 month old, Joshua, was gung ho as we strapped him into an oversized live jacket and brought him cave exploring!

Once everyone was sufficiently cenote satiated and satisfied we headed towards Akumal for a picnic on the beach under the shade of three beautiful palms. We noshed on grilled chicken, salsa, rice, mashed potatoes (the best in the world by the way!), guacamole, and fruit accompanied by ice cold beers and pops, and everyone raved about the food and the location. I took the 3 girls, Maddy (11), Mckenna (8), and Jordan (6) to the CEA Akumal office as they were all self proclaimed turtle lovers and experts. We learned of the different turtles in our area, and learned about what different ways we can help to preserve the sea turtles and their habitat. All the girls were thrilled and had their pamphlets firmly in hand as we packed up to head home. The last stop was at La Buena Vida for a drink and a climb up the crow's nest to see the view across Half Moon Bay.

All in all the family was delighted with their day, and they promised that the next time they came for a visit we could take the trek to Coba.

If you would are interested in a custom or group tour, please contact us.
