A resort complex with one main building and two-story
bungalows, The Riu Playacar is surrounded by 16,000 square meters of lush
tropical gardens and walkways, just a few steps away from the beach. The resort
comprises two outdoor pools, children's pool, terrace-solarium, spa tub,
playground and two well-lit tennis courts. In the main building, guests can
taste a variety of drinks and cuisines at the hotel's many terraced bars and
restaurants. In the evenings, guests can walk over to La Piñata disco at the
sister property, Riu Tequila, to dance the night away. The resort's 386
guestrooms and suites are all air-conditioned, with contemporary Caribbean wooden furniture, dressed with drapes,
upholstery and bedspreads in rich reds, yellows and golds.
