Experience the spring equinox in sacred Chichen Itza-Healing Retreat and Initiation 2010
This retreat is for those, who desire to take themselves on like never before, realizing that the only healer that ever existed is oneself.
Create a life from profound truth and unconditional love which is found in the essential teachings of the sacred esoteric traditions around the world. This is not a religion, but rather an honoring of the natural cycles of the earth and all the spiritual masters who have taught on this earth. Though it does embrace spirit, it is most accurately described as a way of life where the answers reside inside one self.
In the four days you will experience:
- Intention - The cause of personal suffering
- Healing - The perverse creation
- Honor - The perfection of being
- Gratitude - Proliferation of vision
- Understanding internal stories and how that has held you back or created current results
- Realize how your past affects your future and remove the self- created limits
- Learn how to choose your experience
- Realize your world vision and your personal vision via ceremony, experiential work, dance, exploration and much more.

ANUSARA AND TRADITIONAL HATHA YOGA RETREAT With MICHAEL STEWART and TODD TESEN
THE RAMAYANA-March 9th-March 14th, 2010
Simply put, “The Ramayana” is a cornerstone in classical yoga. A gem packed with countless lessons, the tale shares the “song of Rama”, his beloved Sita, and the great Monkey God, Hanuman. As our time together unfolds, so will this great text unfold before us offering its surprises and its secrets to guide us deeper into ourselves, our practices, and our yoga.
Join Todd and Michael in a five day serious frolic as we embody all that the Ramayana promises. Todd and Michael will weave instruction and myth alike, blending the Grace and Dynamism of Anusara Yoga with the depth and introspection of Traditional Hatha Yoga.
Each day will begin with a morning practice that includes Pranayama, Mantra and Techniques of Meditation. There will be 2 and a half hour asana practice each day with a specific focus including inversions, arm balances, hip openers, twists, and backbends. Each afternoon will be open for reflection and discourse on all things yoga.
Michael J. Stewart is a Hatha Yoga teacher with a varied background. He is known internationally as a Movement facilitator, African Drumming teacher, Choreographer and Theatre director. Michael's Yoga journey has taken him from the Jivamukti studio in New York City to study with Iyengar teachers Sharat Arora and Rajiv Chenchani in India. His teaching is inspired by the spirituality of Swami Sivananda and the deep insight of Patanjali. Michael's philosophy on teaching is: "in order to be a good teacher one must be a good student".
Todd Tesen is a certified Anusara instructor. He hails from Los Angeles, Ca. where he began his intensive Yoga practice 15 years ago studying Hatha yoga, Ashtanga Yoga and then found Anusara Yoga in 2001. Upon this discovery, he has studied extensively with Anusara founder John Friend, and Dr Douglas Brooks, who is among the world's leading scholars of Hindu tantrism. Through their guidance, he has become an excellent example that anything is possible. Having taught nationally in the USA and in Mexico, he has also traversed Europe, teaching in the UK, Germany, and Greece. His teaching is playful and uplifting, creating a sacred space for his students to risk, to play, to discover their full empowerment. He is now opening his own Anusara Yoga Studio in the USA.
