Unfortunately the dates have yet to be announced for Playa del Carmen. In the past
www.rivieramaya.com was great at getting out updated information in a timely fashion, but in the last couple of years they have not been on top of it. I have contacted them asking them for dates, and you could pester them too and maybe we could get an answer! Cozumel, however, has announced their 2008 Carnival dates as January 23rd through the 30th. They have been bumped up a week as we are having local and state elections, which in turn comes with a "dry law" we certainly want to be able to have a festive cocktail during Carnival so that is why they changed the dates this year! It is more then likely that Playa del Carmen will follow the same schedule, but I would like to confirm before I say for sure.
