When you think of Mexico you cannot help but think of tequila; so what better place is there to hold a tequila festival than Playa del Carmen, Mexico?.....

Join the fun at the Tequila Festival, November 4th through 7th. The festival and activities will be held on 16th St. North between 5th and 10th Ave. There will be over 30 Tequila producers as well as 20 additional sponsors. You will be able to learn everything you ever wanted to know about tequila as well as taste and sample many brands and styles of this magical liquid.

There are three types of tequila: blanco, reposado and anejo making up more than 3,000 registered brands. Not sure what we are talking about? Then obviously you must attend this amazing festival. Even if you consider yourself a tequila connoisseur, this event will prove to be outrageously fun and informative as well. There will also be culinary delights to sample and enjoy from many world class local restaurants. So please come join the fun, and we are pretty sure you won’t regret it!

Thursday, November 4th
4:00 Press conference on stage.
4:30 Official inauguration by the Governor of the state of Quintana Roo, and by the official representative of the tequila producers of the state of Jalisco.
4:30 Activities and tasting begin.
5:00 Recording for radio and television broadcasting
6:00-8:00 Open to the press, mariachi and folk ballet
10:00 Activities end

Friday, November 5th
3:00 Activities begin
3:30 Training course for local restaurants
4:30 Show by the Cultural House of the Municipal of Solidaridad
10:00 Activities end

Saturday November 6th
3:00 Activities begin
4:00-5:00 Dance and art presentations
6:00-8:00 Mariachi and folk ballet
8:00 Award presentations
9:00 Miss Tequila contest
10:00 Activities end

Sunday November 7th
3:00 Activities begin with food sampling from various area restaurants
5:30 Awards presentation to best vender booth
7:30 Competition for finalists
6:00- 8:00 Mariachi and children’s folk ballet
8:30 Miss Tequila winner announced
10:00 Activities end
