Get your drinking hat on and head downtown to the now famous annual Tequila Festival in Playa del Carmen. There are tequila distributors from all over the country that will be peddling their wares. Try the creamy cinnamon tequila or maybe the pomegranate tequila might be more your style. Like the straight stuff? There will be plenty to choose from, many of which are not necessarily available here.
There will also be music, food, hand rolled cigars, and A WHOLE bunch of cute girls serving up tequila and beer! When:August 15th, 16th and 17th, 2008 Where: 5th Avenue and 16th Bis just one block south of Constituyentes. Time: It is hard to be exact as we were not given hours of operation, but in past years it ususally starts around 4:00 and goes to 11:00 PM Cost: Sometimes there is no cover charge and other times there is one of about $50.00 pesos. Playa del Carmen Tequila Festival cancelled. Unbeknownst to the tequila loving public, the Riviera Maya Tourist Board cancelled the 2008 tequila festival. We are still trying to find out details and will keep you posted......
