Caribbean, Music, Entertainment and Culture – great words to describe Playa del Carmen’s newest club.

This week saw the inauguration of Lumpax, a new beachfront nightclub with an electronic musical theme that is attracting many living in Playa del Carmen. Our host was Mr. Ricardo Miuler, general manager, whom we had the pleasure to speak with about this new addition to our night life.

PMN: What does the name Lumpax stand for?

R. Miuler. Lumpa is a Mayan word meaning, world of music and the addition of the X represents a trilogy now that all our other bars have an X in them, Captain TutiX and the AluX.............

PMN: What is the concept of Lumpax?

R. Miuler: We mix techno music with culture and shows; we even have a terrace above the sea for you to enjoy the sunset in paradise. It’s not only a center of techno music but a mix of the Caribbean rhythm. The idea is to give a good environment for everybody with progressive music, a live show house, performances, etc. ….

PMN: Is Lumpax strictly a night club?.................

R. Miuler: No, during the day Lumpax is a beach club with excellent food, combined with aquatic sports including many diverse activities so that you, our customers, can enjoy yourselves 24 hours a day.

PMN: Does Lumpax have any planned events in mind?

R. Miuler: Yes, as a matter of fact, we already have a confirmed plan of bringing some top of the line DJ’s from London and have a techno music festival here in Playa del Carmen in which we expect participation from people of many parts of the world.

PMN: What is Lumpax’s goal?

R. Miuler. Our goal is to create techno music with classic instruments and produce our own yearly CD; like Café del Mar, Buda bar, etc. We plan to reach this goal within the next couple of years.

PMN: What genre would you classify Lumpax in?

R. Miuler, Lumpax is a techno beach club.

PMN. Explain Lumpax in 5 words

R. Miuler: Caribbean, music, entertainment, culture, and projection.

PMN: What would you say to those who visit us in the Riviera Maya?

R. Miuler, Lumpax invites you all to cordially enjoy the concept of world techno music in front of the Caribbean Sea with heat, flavor and love.

PMN: Wow! What more could you ask for? Who wants to meet there today for a little water fun and then a little evening groove?

Lumpax is a new option to enjoy days and nights full of fun and dance here in the Riviera Maya. It is located in between 4th and 6th street beside Captain Tutix.
