Solexico; a great choice in language programs!

Solexico is the brain child of four men who have a long time history together as both friends and family. Brothers Gerardo and Alejandro Diego, and two elementary school friends Juan Carlos Delgado and Oscar Barrera all grew up together in Cuernevaca. As most of you already know, Cuernevaca is known through out the world as having incredible Spanish language programs, so growing up their exposure to education was high.

Oscar, the academic director, developed his own program out of his home in Cuernevaca, and he now has over 18 years experience in teaching and is a strong academic and adult educator. Gerardo, the general director, was living in Austin, Texas, and decided to come to Playa del Carmen for a much needed break, and that was 9 years ago!

 By 1997 all four of them were living here in Playa del Carmen, and they knew that they had the right combination of skills and experience to create their own program, mirroring the concept from their own hometown of Cuernevaca. They knew that Playa del Carmen was an incredible destination, and they had the foresight to see its potential as an international destination. So with this in mind they bought the land and hired a local architect and designer to create the individual and unique setting that is now Solexico. They offer an incredible variety of language classes as well as other activities and excursions to round out the curriculum. In addition to the language classes, students can choose from salsa classes, cooking classes, local excursions, movie nights, and Mexican song classes to enhance their overall experience of visiting and learning in Mexico.

Opened in 1998, Solexico has created a prestigious image in adult language programs, and just three years ago, they opened an additional campus in Oaxaca. Their recipe for success is not only the combination of the four men who created the program, but from the pure fact that they offer Spanish language programs, taught by native speakers, in very small groups. Although they can accommodate upwards of 85 students, they limit their class size to five students, and are very adamant about keeping it at the proper learning level for each individual student. Because of this they may run twelve different grammar classes simultaneously to ensure everyone is learning at their own pace.

In addition, upon registering for any classes at Solexico, you are required to take a placement test to guarantee individual levels of learning. Overall, due to their experience, dedication, and hands on management Solexico is an incredible success! Now, not only do they have the two campuses in Playa del Carmen, and Oaxaca, but they plan on opening a third location this summer in Puerto Vallarta! So whether you are visiting form outside of Mexico, or live here in Playa del Carmen, if you want to master the local language, Solexico is the place to go.
