Coffeelia

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Cozumel. It's a great place to take a break from all the shopping you've been doing and unwind a little. It has loads of old world charm and great food. Nothing fancy, just lots of character and great atmosphere.

There is a huge tree growing in the middle of the courtyard that they say is one of the oldest on the island. And from the looks of it, I can believe it. It is really great sitting out under that tree having a cup of espresso.

They have artwork all over the place that is done by local artists that can also be purchased if you like; some very intriguing looking stuff.

Lots of the locals like to come here for breakfast and lunch. There are always some interesting people and conversation going on. Really a great place to just to sit back and enjoy the atmosphere. While you kicking back under the tree you can look over their very extensive menu. They have breakfast, lunch and dinner items that you’re sure to enjoy. I’m not going to make any recommendations about what you might want to try; all I will say is that everything I have tried has been fantastic! The food is really great here.

Ofelia Espinosa is the proprietor and is always on hand to make sure you feel welcome and at home. She is a great person to get to know and I’m sure you’ll enjoy talking with her. She has lots of interesting things that she can tell you about our little island.

Almost forgot, they also have some very tasty coffee selections to choose from. Well you probably already guessed that from the name of the place. So when you’re ready to just soak up some old world charm and entertain your pallet, give Coffelia a try, I’m sure it will turn out to be a regular destination for you whenever you visit Cozumel.
