Byblos – A Restaurant Review
Fine French Dining is Sophisticated Causal at Byblos
“A bottle of white! OOh, a bottle of red! Perhaps of bottle of rose instead. Get a table near the street in our old familiar place, you and I face to face – umm, umm" said Jean from Paris to his lovely latin mademoiselle –
C’est La Vie! That’s the love at Byblos, Playa del Carmen’s premier authentic French restaurant. It’s cozy, warm, friendly, sophisticated, casual, and oozing with air of amor.
Owned and operated by Sylvie Goetz, Byblos is the summation of years of earned success working in the gastronomic branche in Luxembourg.

Café Café - Hey Ya! Hey Ya!
Are these the best brownies in Mexico? You think you got it, oh you think you got it, but got it just don’t get it until you try these bad boyz.
So I walk into to this colorful place called Café Café and think, okay another internet café with bland American coffee and stale cakes bought from Bimbo or something.
Opps! Pre-Qualifying! Wrong! I think I just met the best baker in Mexico! She's from Denmark - I should've known!
Anyway, the first thing I noticed is the colors – an off red – pinkish if you will – hard to describe really. Apparently, it's the color of Danish flag. And then I noticed the computers and then the signs saying – Almond Merengue Pie, Handmade Ice Cream, and Brownies.

Café Corazon - A Coffee House with Heart
Café Corazon, Playa’s newest and most inviting neighborhood coffee house, with its vibrantly painted walls and traditional Mexican colonial décor is truly a fabulous place to just come and relax with your favorite friends and family. Especially with a name like Café Corazon (Heart Café), clearly, this is a magical place of Amore –
Built on the smiles of living with passion in paradise, Fiona Piff and Ana Paula Candido Owners of Café Corazon have created a lovely place of warmth and love. With the fabulous flavor of fresh Mexican grown coffee, and rich delicious desserts. For both locals and tourists a like.

It's a Celebration!
And the winner for best Cappuccino, Café Corazon, throws a party!
by Suzanne Bandick
PMN joined Café Corazon owners Allison Fonte and Amir Neustdt and Amirs 18 year old son Matan for a wonderful party at the café to celebrate their success. Friends and many loyal clients were also in attendance.
Everyone was treated to free cappuccinos and lemonade as well as tasty samples of their delectable food.
So enquiring minds want to know - where did this all begin for Allison (originally from Southern California, USA) and Amir (originally from a Kibbuz, in Givat Brenner, Israel)?................

Finally a cool little café and coffee shop in Phase II!
One major complaint I hear, from friends who live in Playacar, is the lack of services that are close by, but complain no more, Café del Soul has arrived. With fresh baked goods, delicious coffee, hearty sandwiches, salads, and more, Café del Soul will be sure to create a faithful following in no time. Owners Zen and Georgina have been vacationing here for the past few years, from Toronto Canada, and just last year bought an investment property in Playacar.....

Cheap eats and cold beer, what could be better?
A little over a year ago, a group of five friends from New York fell in love with Playa del Carmen. When the opportunity presented itself to open a business here, they jumped on it and bought the Hotel Santa Barbara on Calle 4. While busy working from the ground up to restore this little jewel to its original charm, they often dined at a little taco shop on 12th street that served amazing food, and thus discovered the chef-owner, Alejandro Azcue....
