La Diez deserves a "10"!
On Saturday night I was out and about with friends and we came upon La Diez. Meaning “The Ten” it is a new restaurant and bar located on the corner of 8th Street and 10th Avenue.
From the street you look through huge picture windows that face 10th Avenue. The tables had something strange attached to the top of them….wait a minute those are draft nozzles! Could it be? No way! Self serve beer at your table! This was something I had never seen before so my friends and I went in to check it out and we met the owner….
A Taco Gone Wild!
Well I just ate the best Taco Al Pastor with Pinneapple and Pumpkin Seed Salsa I've ever had. Check this out! Oh My!
By J.P. the Food Guy
So I take a bite of this sizzling sumptodelicious Pumpkin Seed Salsa smothered Taco Al-Pastor and the only words I could say were “Um-Um, Soooo Gooood! – more please.”.
And that is exactly how it is at Los 3 Carboncitos, the most outstanding taco shop here in the Riviera Maya – well of course, that’s just my opinion. And judging by the rest of the patrons who were enjoying their meals, I would say I have lots of amigos who feel the same.
You see Hector Martinez came from Mexico City to Playa del Carmen last year and opened up Los 3 Carboncitos as a matter of a long term passion with food that he’s had since a young boy in Mexico City.
We had a celebratory party on Saturday and the tacos certainly were very tasty proving PMN readers know what they are talking about!
The margaritas were exceptionally good as well and the homemade tortillas are the best ever.........

Friends and family of the Ah Cacao Chocolate Cafe in Playa del Carmen gathered to commemorate their official opening.
Throngs of happy patrons descended upon Ah Cacao to sample and try their incredible chocolate concoctions. Their famous brownies, fresh delectable chocolates, and incredible Mayan hot chocolate were consumed and happy customers walked around with chocolate eating grins on their faces.
So thank you to owners Rohan and Monica for supplying us with the most incredible chocolate not only locally, but internationally, globally, and to the moon and back! Mezzanine has created causal elegance on the shores of the Caribbean Sea.
If you have yet to
visit Mezzanine it is heaven on earth, and a must do. It is a small boutique
hotel, a trendy upscale bar and a restaurant that serves great Thai food; all
located on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. I have been to Mezzanine a handful of times for cocktails
and appetizers, dinner, beach lounging, and general indulgence. After the last
couple of times of decadence and social hedonism I thought I would write about my experiences.
