UPDATE 9:23am Tuesday All the electricity, phones, and communications in the Riviera Maya are still down. So for all of you reading this around the world and who have family, relatives, friends, or colleagues in this area, please be patient and hang in there. Our area residents are working as fast as they can to get communications back online so we can connect again. All indications are that things should be back up within 72 hours. But don’t hold us to that………just hang in there and know it’s a work in progress. We can tell you that while there are trees down, debris in the streets, and lots of water........there are NO reports of widespread injuries or worse......... In fact, all reports point that the area, with widespread world class advance warnings from the Hurricane Centers in Miami and Oklahoma, did a GREAT JOB is preparing the tourists and residents.....we are grateful to all those in the US who have and continue to do the unsung work to save lives.
