Promoting the Community Gets Sketchy!

This morning, a staffer from Playa Maya News went to the new MEGA COMMERICAL MEXICANA Superstore that just opened up this morning on 30th and Constituyentes. Their intent was to do a great story on growth in Playa del Carmen, and frankly, to do a shameless promo for them; just because that’s what we do.

But, oh how quickly do the outstanding world class business principles turn into mud.  They actually threw us out!  That’s right!  You have to leave!  Why?  Because you are taking photos and we don’t want the competition to see our store.

 What?  Um?  What? Is this a joke?  Hey man, if Wal-Mart wants to see your store, they will walk in with a hidden camera placed in the stem of the 007 like spy guys sunglasses.  Pleeze! Was this an isolated case of someone making a dumb decision based on real fear or was it another classic day in the business world of Playa del Carmen?
