No, they are not Hollywood movie stars, but two local business women, who are creating a strong image in the community.

These two have created, Comfort Vacations, a personalized chef and concierge service here in Playa del Carmen. With their blended back grounds and compliment of skills, education, and ability these two young women have created their own company that is both original and unique. Tiffany Thier arrived in Playa del Carmen two and a half years ago from Fort Lauderdale Florida with her boyfriend Beau Berlin (of Locales Locos), and their sweet pooch Mookie.  They had first heard of Playa del Carmen from Beau’s parents who had a time share at Fisherman’s Village. Although her background is in special effects make up artistry, she and Beau were running a seasonal business on the New Jersey boardwalk. They had finished their summer of work in the States and decided to come to Playa del Carmen to spend the winter.

Sativa McCoy moved lock, stock, and barrel from Austin, Texas to Playa del Carmen in May of 2000. Originally she had come on holiday in 1994, but it was not until 2000 that she was offered a job down in Majahual, and that is when she made the official leap. After her stint in Majahual she worked with a local real estate agent here in Playa del Carmen. Over the next couple of years she did a variety of jobs from bartending to photography, and then when she decided to check out time share sales this is where she met Tiffany.

The two of them became fast friends, and it became very apparent that these two were destined to be independent. Tiffany had the knack for administration, bookkeeping, and money management, where Sativa had the passion for creativity with food. They had brainstormed on how they could make this particular skill set work for them both, and they came up with Comfort Vacations. The concept behind Comfort Vacations is to offer resort services to private vacation rentals. Their idea is to make vacations smooth and carefree by offering chef services, shopping, childcare, and grocery delivery (to name a few) to families visiting the Playa del Carmen area.
