What have we done without our local coffee hangout?

We have pined away and waited with baited breath for Java Joe's to re- open its doors. This morning at 6:30 AM we were all very happy to peel ourselves out of bed and join the crew for an ice blended mocha and a delicious bagel. Great to have you back Joel and Ronnie!

In a spanking new location Java Joe’s, a true Playa institution, is better then ever! Originally from The East Coast, owners Joel and Ronnie Gersh, arrived in Playa del Carmen in 1995. They were sad to discover that there were no local cafés , but they then realized there was a niche to be filled, and so the concept of Java Joe’s was born. They opened in 1997, and quickly became a household name. Tourists and locals alike flocked to Java Joe’s each morning, and used it as a meeting point or a place to gab over a cup of java and catch up on local happenings. They continued to grow and serve the local community for the next 7 years until they finally realized they had outgrown their original space.

Now in their new location on 10th Street between 5th and 10th Ave, they are glad to be back with their morning coffee crew visiting and serving their famous brew!

Java Joe’s is open daily from 6:30 AM to 11:00 PM

Java Joe’s offers a breakfast menu, bagels, sandwiches, and, of course, an extensive variety of coffee drinks.
