Friday Aug 27^th Sam’s officially opened in Playa del Carmen!

It is located right on the highway outside of Playacar! It’s ours! I can’t believe it! It is finally here! It’s like Christmas!

Was it a party? Was it a zoo? Were we mobbed trying to buy food? Did we have to wait in line for hours?...........

We were actually there at 7 am to be among the first to enter. It was a little early but Raul Roman, store manager and Jose Luis Jose Gracian, Sam’s Club national director of operations welcomed us in.

We witnessed the Sam Walton cheer from all the staff and heard the pride in their voices as they prepared for the day. They are proud to be the 58^th Sam’s Club in Mexico.

Everything went well. Yes, it was a party – it still is a party - all day – complete with a 6 foot long cake! We found many, many staff waiting with smiles to serve us. They were actually eager to please and to invite us to try things and to come to their cash desk and they even offered to help us find things. What a pleasure.

Bagels – I found bagels. Most Mexicans do not know bagels. That is probably the reason why they are hard to find. I also found big containers of ice cream at reasonable prices that will not melt before you get them home because now home and store are so close together.

My advice - hurry go shop now while they still have some cake. It was delicious. Don’t worry I left plenty of things for you to buy!

Wow! Life in heaven just got better. Thank you Sam’s.
