I know that finding a dentist can be a painful and dreary task, especially when living and traveling in Mexico.

Although it may not be a top priority for most, it is kind of like taxes, it has to be done. Meet Doctors Marco and Aleandro Laguna of Coral Dental Center in Playa del Carmen.....

The brothers have over 30 years combined experience in family dentistry. They both graduated from the world renowned school UNAM (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Mexico) in Mexico City. They not only graduated in general family dentistry, but both chose specialties as well. Dr. Marco Laguna chose to go in to the specialty of Endodontics (root canals and pain management), and Dr. Alejandro Laguna focused on Orthodontics (dealing with irregularities of the teeth and their correction through braces).

Originally from Mexico City, Marco and Alejandro decided to relocate to Playa del Carmen in March 2004. They had 2 goals upon their arrival, to find a more tranquil lifestyle and to offer the community new technology in dental care, and Playa del Carmen was the perfect fit. They opened Coral Dental Center in April 2004 and are off to a running start.

Their clinic is the first of its kind in the Playa del Carmen area not only because of the services that they offer but because of the equipment that they use. They have panoramic and digital x-rays, which limits and minimizes e

xposure to radiation, ultrasonic cleanings, limiting pain and time, and intra oral dental cameras, which allows the patient to see step by step what is going to be done. They offer a relaxed, friendly environment with personalized

attention and service, and their bilingual team, is not only professional, but makes you feel right at home. Although none of us ever enjoys going to the dentist, the Coral Dental Center can minimize pain and anxiety usually associated with going to the dentist.
