Small black kitty saved from the crazy traffic of Cancun.
A small black kitten was rescued yesterday from being run
over in Cancun. So if you, or someone you know,
is looking for a new pet, this little one would be more then happy to oblige.....
Make a difference in an animal's life and adopt one of these amazing survivors. A tiny kitten found in peril, and a beautiful Weimaraner left to die, are both looking for loving homes.
Meet Canelo; he is a Weimaraner, and approximately 11 months old. He was found by Glenda in the middle of the jungle - tied up to a tree under the sun. She doesn’t know how long he was there but he was very nervous, full of ticks, and close to death. Canelo will need a special home; someone who is patient and loving and would have the time to care for his wounded soul.....
We have had quite a few critters referred to us over the past two years, and we must give everyone special snaps and kudos for getting involved and making our fledgling adopt-a-pet program 100% successful! Our latest success story is our dog friend Darcy who was found broken and beaten on the beach of Playa del Carmen with a myriad of problems. But the community rallied and we all made it happen for Darcy. She was fortunate to have had Judi Shaw walk by that day, and not being able to turn her head, Judi did what any true animal lover would do and brought her home. She then contacted us at Playa Maya News and that is where it all began....
Sweet Playa del Carmen Street Dog Looking for a Home
Friday, 19 May 2006
Darcy the lucky dog is desperately seeking a permanent home.
You
may remember reading about Lucky, the dog found hurting nine weeks ago
on the beach in front of the Coco Bay Hotel here in Playa del
Carmen. She was in dire straits with a broken leg and many other health
problems.
Hannah is an utterly charming, playful, loving young dog, pretty and healthy. At the same time, she has strong protective instincts. She has been off the street for two years and is now happy, healthy and spayed. She would be ideal for a home where she could be the only dog. And if you’re looking for a watchdog, she’s perfect: she is alert but not overly barky, especially at night.
Joey has been wandering around Playa for the past few days trying to find a new home.
He is roughly one and a half years old and is an extremely sweet natured dog. He seems to get along with other dogs and other animals quite well. He has been vet checked and is in great overall health. He was found roaming the streets of Playa del Carmen a few days ago and was fortunate enough to find a temporary place to stay...
If you are looking for a feline companion but want to avoid "the terrible two's" of kittenhood, then one, or both, of these beautiful adult cats may be just right for you! Pulgas looks to be part Siamese and Sheeba is pure black with yellow eyes.....

Remember the cutest kitten on the planet?
Well, thanks to Playa Maya News Readers, Itzel and Pal.he now has a loving home! They could not resist his cute face, and cuddly nature, so they decided to add him to their family brood. Thank you Itzel and Pal for taking him home with you!
Now on a more somber note......remember the twin sister dogs who we have been trying to place with a new home? Well, unfortunately one passed away, and her now orphaned sister still needs a home.....
This fuzzy little kitty is in need of a loving home.
He was born at The Blue Parrot Hotel 6 weeks ago, and he is the last of his brothers and sisters to find a home. He is very playful, friendly, and sweet, and he loves to curl up on a lap for his naps. He is box trained, and ready to make someone an ecstatic kitten parent!
PLEASE!!!! This loving kitty needs a caring home!!
A couple of days ago this sweet and loving kitty was found on 5th Avenue, in Playa del Carmen, with what have been found out to be burns on him. The vet thinks it was hot water thrown on him. Do not panic when you see the burn area.... this is why he could not be left uncared for on 5th!!!
