Adopt-a-Pet in Playa del Carmen becoming a strong voice for rescued animals. Adopt- a-Pet has been part of PMN since it’s inception in 2004. It was part of our Community Action section which highlighted local non-profits and charities and aided in free publicity and fundraising. We had always hoped that Adopt-a-Pet would catch on to a larger group and possibly develop into something more significant. In recent months it has done just that. People from as far as Canada or Belize have contacted us in hopes of aiding in a rescue of some precious animal. We are thrilled with the response we have received, and as all of you know there is a desperate need for a formal program. Although we are not able to run a formal shelter ourselves we thought we could at least bring Adopt-a-Pet to the next level. We have decided to dedicate a separate section, as well as a forum, solely for Adopt-a-Pet. There is now just too much traffic in regards to e-mails that we receive that we are unable to post every single animal on our front page. With the use of the forum people can communicate with each other in regards to rescues, foster parenting, health and medical care, as well as fundraising and donations. In addition we will continue to post information that we receive as well, and this will also cut down on duplicate mails trying to save the same litter of pups or kitties. So we would like to thank everyone who has helped out a stranded or injured animal friend; together we can make a difference! Click here to check out the new Adopt-a-Pet forum! Comments (1)

Looking for a good and loving home for Luther. Luther is a male Rottweiler (neutered) about 7 years old. Very friendly. He needs love and attention as he has had a rough life. He was abandoned and ended up at the dog pound. He is overweight from lack of exercise. If you would like to give him a good home, have a large yard and time to give him some TLC, please contact Cyndi at 998 100 7776. I have photos if you send me your e-mail.
